Family Support Agency
The Family Support Agency (FSA) is a Government Agency operating under the aegis of the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs.
The FSA was set up to provide support to families. The main support services are provided in the following ways.
- Funding 107 Family Resource Centres around Ireland.
- Supporting organisations providing Marriage, Relationship, Child and Bereavement Counselling Services.
- A Family Mediation Service for couples going through a separation or divorce.
- Research relevant to families.
- Providing important information to families, particularly in relation to parenting.
- Advising the Minister on family related matters.
