Founded in 2001 and situated in the Respond Community Building in Rineanna View Estate, Shannon, Co. Clare, Shannon Family Resource Centre offers a comprehensive range of services to support individuals of all ages, from 'Cradle to Grave'. The centre employs six staff members and depends on local volunteers to ensure community services are delivered effectively. Operating holistically, Shannon FRC focuses on enhancing resilience and fostering active community participation among individuals, children, and families. Collaborating with partner organisations, the centre provides personal development programmes and a variety of community services, including information and advice, low-cost professional counselling, family support, a homework club, and diverse educational classes. The overarching goal is to address community needs through a strengths-based approach, advocating for clients and facilitating inclusive, affordable activities and support.
