About Us

Torc Community & Family Resource Centre is situated in Ballyspillane Estate on the outskirts of Killarney, approximately 1.7 miles from the Town centre.

The FRC provides supports to Families and communities residing in the Killarney Urban & Rural Killarney areas, with a combined population of cc 15,500, including TUSLA’s PPFS Child & Family Services Local Area Pathway structures.
The FRC Facilities are located in a large housing estate with a large number of young families, including a high population of ethnic minority /Traveller families compared to other areas of Kerry. The area was recognised as disadvantaged under the Family Resource Centre programme and has existed since 2006.

The project focuses specifically on supporting vulnerable families and community members in need of early intervention, preventative and other specific supports and programmes.

Torc CFRC also provides outreach to other areas within the Killarney Municipal area.
